OneTick ("OneTick", "we", "us") makes a to-do list app for iPhone and this website. Your tasks are personal, and we treat them that way. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information, such as your name and email address, if you create an account or sign in.
- Your content: the lists and tasks you create, including titles, due dates and times, priorities, locations and descriptions.
- Messages you send us, for example when you contact support.
Information collected automatically
- Diagnostics, such as crash reports and basic device information (for example iPhone model and iOS version), if you choose to share them with developers through your iPhone settings.
Information we do not collect
- Biometric data. Face ID, Touch ID and passcode checks for private lists are handled entirely by iOS. OneTick only receives a yes or no result and never has access to your face data, fingerprint or passcode.
2. How we use information
- To provide the app: store your lists and tasks, show them on your devices and send the reminders you set.
- To keep your account secure and let you sign in.
- To respond to your questions and support requests.
- To find and fix bugs and improve OneTick.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the content of your tasks for advertising.
3. Device permissions
OneTick only asks for permissions when a feature needs them, and you can change them at any time in the iPhone Settings app.
- Notifications, to remind you about tasks with a due date and time.
- Face ID, to unlock lists you have chosen to make private.
- Location, only if you add a location to a task.
4. Sharing
We share information only when it's needed to run OneTick or when required by law:
- Service providers that host or process data on our behalf, under agreements that require them to protect it.
- Apple, which handles app downloads, any purchases and push notifications under its own privacy policy.
- Legal reasons, if we're required to comply with the law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
5. Storage & security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe.
6. Retention & deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide OneTick. You can delete individual tasks and lists in the app at any time. To delete your account and its data, email support@onetick.com from the address linked to your account and we'll take care of it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, the EU and UK GDPR and California law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We'll respond within the time required by law.
8. Children
OneTick is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above, and if the changes are significant we'll let you know in the app or by email.
